LAUNDRY ROOM

  1. Outlet needed, NEC 210-52(f): 
At least one receptacle outlet shall be installed. 

At least one additional 20-amp branch circuit is required to be provided for the supply to the laundry receptacle outlet(s). This circuit shall have no other outlets.
  1. Laundry Receptacle Outlets, NEC 210-50(c): Shall be installed within 6 ft. of the intended location of the laundry appliance.

  2. Electric Dryer Min. Feed, NEC, 220-16(b), 220-18: 
Need separate circuit. Min. 30-amp, (3 #10 THHN wire).

Usually 3-#10 plus ground cable wiring is required for the
dryer circuit.

Cables are protected by a 30-amp, 2-pole circuit breaker. 

High speed dryers should be wired to meet the name plate
rating specified by the manufacturer.
  1. Water heater Branch Circuit, 422-13: A branch circuit capable of 125% of the nameplate rating of the water heater is required for a residential electric water heater.
