1. Outlets & Lights, NEC 210-52(g), 210-70(a): Minimum one lighting outlet & one GFCI-protected receptacle outlet are required.
   
   
2. GFCI Receptacles, NEC 210-8(a)2, expt.: All receptacles in garage shall have GFCI-protection, except single receptacles that are not accessible behind a fixed appliance, i.e., Freezer, garage opener outlet in the ceiling.
   
   

3. Electrical subpanels should not be located in the modified 1hr firewall between the house and garage. UBC 709.7. Consult with the local officials.
   

4. Receptacle outlets in the modified 1hr firewall between the house and garage should be steel or rated plastic boxes. Consult with the local officials.
